Wow! What a change of pace since last post!! We have just barely survived Winter Weather~~~ in short we have been way to sick for any one family to have deserved!!! Christmas brought flu and two weeks off spent soo sick....January 2011 brought sinus infections - strep - yet another round of flu for February and yet despite all the sickness we have survived and I am proud to say that we have had three weeks of perfect attendance!!! I am so proud!!! We have become known as the family that if it is out there we will get it! But we must thrive and go on!!!
Special moments and memories I do not want to forget... our first christmas and snow in our new home!! Wonderful - but I am have also learned that we need to some upgraded christmas decor - which will come slowly but surely and I must budget for such things as new garland! and LED lights that will actually show up!!! We did enjoy having a fire on cold winter nights and I finally mastered the process without setting off the alarm system or burning my fingers!!!
I must also add that our baby girl had her first secret admirer...which I must add she handled well!!! She noticed someone had place a large card in her valentines mailbox at school -- she came home and told me she had a secret admirer -- when I ask if she knew what this meant she said, "yes, someone likes me." Later when she was filling out valentine cards for each of her classmates she admitted to knowing who he was -- I ask how she knew and of coarse he told her... as well as her girlfriends had spilled the beans as well... I ask if she wanted to give him a special valentine and she replied, "he is getting a special valentine just like everyone else in my class - Candy and I don't like him any more than anyone else!" I love her and I see her handling herself well!!! PrOuD oF hEr!!!!
We are getting ready to celebrate her 6th birthday and she is hanging on to her first loose tooth -- she screams and cries at the thought of us pulling it -- and I don't have the heart to push too much ... for fear my baby is growing up!!! I can't believe this year is almost over her kindergarten year ... I am loving all three kiddo's in school... and we are loving their independance from diapers and being able to somewhat entertain themselves... but just for a moment I miss my babies...I hate they have to grow up and will realize this world is not as perfect and footloose and fancy free as we would like it to stay for them!!! Oh to keep them in a bubble as long as I can!!! But that will only pop!!
We are looking forward to summers lazy days ahead and planning our beach trip already!!! Winter has been so long this year and so cold for Alabama -- it has made spring fever set in and we are playing in the waterhose this weekend and wearing flip flops!!! Welcome warm weather!
