We are still in sick mode... it is passing right along...Eli was not feeling so well yesterday and came home early from school... Dannah woke up burning hot with fever this morning...there is nothing harder than getting dressed for work with her screaming, "mommy I don't want you to go..." but I have taken a half day and will not make grandmother tend to three sick little ones alone... I have put my call in the doctor... who will probably not do much...THE V WORD COMES TO MIND!!! Virus!! Let it run it's coarse...we all know that drill!!! But at least we are on child three...should be over soon!!!
There will be well baby check up for the boys... I do not take them in Novemember due to flu season...no point in going into a wait room full of flu...I think Cole will get the bad side of this visit with his five year old shots... and we must start talking about developmental bathroom issues so I do not look forward to this visit... everyone say a prayer that note!!!
It is funny to me that somehow I seem to be going through issues with the kids and at the same time randomly pick up books to read that deal with context concerning the issuses I am personally dealing with...fate...chance...God!!! So the latest greatest was the most unexpected I am reading a memior...Nicklas Sparks...who's son has bathroom issues...I had just about decided this book was to slow... nothing exciting...(compaired to the Notebook)...I really did not want to hear how bad his life was growing up or the struggles(not that it is not interesting and inspiring to see how he has come from that to be a success)...but mother picked it up and when she read little more into it told me this was a must read for me!!!
The first time this happened was the week the dr. mentioned autism with Cole's name in the same sentence... I was on brain overload... and needed a good escape... on my way to run an errand that week I picked up a Nicklas Spark "The Rescue"...long story short the main character was a single mom dealing with a son who had autism... not quite the escape I was hoping for but encouraging non the less... I actually now knowing some of Spark's homelife...know where some of those ideas and thougths about her dealing with her son in the story came from ...him an his son's personal issues that they had overcome...
Not sure if you wanted to know all of that...just a random bit of information that I find to be happening more and more in my life... if you share similair accurances or thoughts on that ...feel free to enlighten me... tell me to read my Bible not a book would be Mark's comment (since he lurks and never post--I will help you out there brother!!)
So prayers for the homefront...and lysol to boot!!! love you all have a great week!!!

Accomplishments in small packages...
Soooo this week is all about cole... so first I will tell you Coleman has not always been our social child... he can be in a room full of kids his age and be just as content to sit by himself and play....well Thursday mother and daddy took Dannah and Cole to McD's for lunch... they were joined by a grandmother and her two grandchildren who just happend to be almost the same age and sex as our two... Cole struck up a conversation and relationship with their grandson of five...the two climbed up the tunnels took and seat and just talk ...the whole time!!! Mother said it was big boy conversation too!!! Cole went up to this childs grandmother and asked if he could spend the night with him (eli's sleep over pals are making an impression on cole! He wants his own sleep overs!!) So...this was a huge accomplishment for our little man... a complete strange kid... not in his class or in his normal daily life... and he intiates play with him without the support of me ...mother...daddy...teachers... yea Cole!!!
Cole is also the child that has NEVER taken oral medication...EVER...without throwing it back up... and trust me we have tried every trick in the book...just shy of standing on our heads!!! He has been fighting a nasty cough and I once again get him to come to the kitchen and try to get grape "juice" down his throat!! I just told him, "Okay Cole mommy needs you to drink this grape juice and then I will give you a juice box to drink..." he takes it ... swallows it... and I never once had to get creative!!! OMG!!! DID THAT JUST HAPPEN!!! Was I dreaming... no he took it...I called Mark and we all got very excited... he has been pretty sick little man since then but that was a huge moment for us!!! What once took alot of energy and struggle became a non-issue!!! Accomplishment!!! I only wish that when he got sick in the middle of the night he would come running for me... he has never slept in our bed (just recently took daddy's place and that was just weeks ago) he threw up and took his shirt off and flipped to the clean side of the bed without making any alarming notification that would wake us... and to find him like this the next morning made me sad.... I wish he would have come running...so last night when I put him to bed I said, "Coco if you get sick mommy needs to know this... you have to come wake me up okay..." "okay mom." Well, I checked on him a dozen times until 1am... then we were all sleeping soundly...he had a accident in his pull up and tried to change pants (evidence in the bathroom) ... new pull up back to bed and bigger mess... we had to wake him up put him straight in the tub...and tons of laundry right off the bat again... "Cole why did you not come get me?" "I did not throw up!" Ugh!!! But the truth ... I did not say throw up or poopy!! I sooo wish he would have cried out...we have monitors for this !!!! Makes me sad that my little man does not see the need to come get me...or know that he is in a mess... So he is up playing wii and no fever we have held down three juice boxes and his and dannah's bowl of noodles...so maybe this was a short lived bug...and it will be a better night tonight... what else should I add to the list of if this happens come get me??? humm....
God love him he is a trooper and a sweet little man... he is happy even when he is sick...and daddy dressed him in the longest basketball shorts ever today and he look so adorable... and he thinks he is big to be wearing them!!!
We are off tomorrow and I thank God for that...after all the laundry ...mopping of floors...and cleaning up I have done the past two days I am hoping to sit and do nothing all day tomorrow!!!

Recap...
Well... things are starting to pop around our house... we are back into routine after the holidays and the toys have all found a home...in a bucket or on a shelf! Dannah is back to dancing with her friends and enjoying her teacher and her class... she seems somewhat left out when it comes to school...but registration for pre-k is coming soon so she will experience school soon!!! She will hopefully be attending Westwoods preschool next year... if I can remember to get her paper work in on time!!!
Mark had a long weekend getaway with work this past week and he invited me to join him Friday after I got off... we were in Florance, Alabama at the Marriott Shoals... very nice and he got in some golf...and I enjoy a massage followed by a nap!!! Heaven!!! I got to meet and spend time with those he works with... and it was lots of fun and laughs... We enjoyed an a movie that was not rated G at the theater... the clinteastwood movie...good!!! And getting to sit and enjoy meals with out spills and being rushed or worried about how long it took to get in and out!!! I have to say the perks of the job have been great... and we feel very blessed!!! I had hoped to sight see in Florance given Ivy Green the birthplace of Helen Keller is there... but after getting sooo lost with the GPS ....I did not venture out... I think I will leave the GPS navigation to Mark and stick with asking strangers for directions... works out better for me it seems!!! Mark did great for his first year and open enrollment... he placed 10th in the overall ranks and got rookie of the year!!!
I have started some time of reflection... starting my year off with a kick start...Church of the Highlands always start off the year with 21 day fast... and I have never quite got in on the fast full blown... due to having babies... at times I have stepped back and fasted certain "things" in my life... but I am on board and into day 2 of the fast...and already I know God is stirring... I am desperate for him... to seek him and know him more...I am also starting an online bible study (link is below) and I think through all of this I just want him to know I am available...and not just stuck on things that surround me but on him... I want to be more focused on my relationship with him and seek his presence in every part of my day - driving to and from work--- during the situations that arise...I want him there... and I am inviting him to there... allowing him to speak to me not just me coming to him with my list.... I am very encouraged as I tell you that 21 days is no magic number ... but just setting aside time to deny the nature of who I am and my flesh that gets in the way so many times to be set aside and focus on him...on what he means to me ...that I am created to worship him and have a Father Daughter relationship with him...I encourage you to stop and take time to look into heart and your relationship with him... I can already tell such a focus and change in my heart ... check out Shift blog... Pastor Chris shares about this if anyone is interested...
