daily dose for today...

okay first of all Eli is playing flag football... he is loving the opportunity to play!! So he did an amazing job in the position he played today and was such a go getter!!! He ran one from the other teams in-zone to our in-zone (whatever you call it) for touch down!! So we did that this morning...Called Granny to wish her a very Happy Birthday...and can't wait to see them next weekend!!! We went out for a quick lunch and home for me a long nap...we have all been under the weather this week with runny noses and head colds...but I felt like I new person when I woke up... Mark cut some grass ... went for a run which I did sooo much better today and actually ran 1/2 mile.. vs. quarter of a mile... and my lungs did not feel like they were going to explode on me!! yeah!!! sooo maybe my training for 5k is improving -- and I might actually be able to tell I am slowly getting there... after our run... we took the kids to play on the playground ...Cole would not put his collection of sticks down so Mark asked him if he need to go to the bathroom (because he was not obeying us) he put his sticks down and said, "Spare Me!" We thought this was hilarious!!! It is so hard to keep a straight face sometimes... It was a beautiful day and made us long for fall weather!! We finished off the day with milkshakes for the kids with happy meals and they watched their new favorite movie "Bedtimes Stories" and are sound asleep!!

School days School days ....

Well we made it through the first few days of school and had a great week! Back on schedule...back to early bedtimes and little homework to keep us on our toes!!! Last weekend we decided to have little before school fun and just happened to have friends who were thinking the same thing...we took off Friday afternoon for Montgomery and little pool fun and sun and biscuits games too... just what we needed before week one!!! I started working on Monday...and the boys met teachers and dropped off school supplies... by Wednesday night our book bags were packed and sitting by the door with clothes ironed and laid out... we were ready for our first day back!!! Cole and Eli were such big boys and Cole wanted to walk in all by himself but Eli was his watchman and such a great big brother on day one! Mark dropped them off and picked them up...he did not find Cole's head among the other kids but he did notice a kid laid out asleep...when the boy's number was called he noticed Eli going over to find Cole and it just so happened that the little monkey who had laid out on the pavement asleep was Cole!!! We have had a good laugh about how warn out he was after a big day!!! He was excited and looked forward to the next day going back... even the lunchroom seem to excite him!!! Eli had a good first day and other than his finger getting jammed in p.e. he was good! We did have a little assignment to get us kicked off first day but overall I would call it a success!! I did not loose my voice which I tend to do and for someone who talks all the time I am shocked by the fact that just using my voice in such a different way tends to cause me to not hold out... but so far so good...I am seeing seven classes a day and so far so good!!! I have a training class this week that I am looking forward to go over the curriculum with the county... should be informative!!!
Here are a few pictures of our weekend away...first day...and Eli playing little flag football...
